Account NFT: Your Permanent Identity

The Account NFT is issued once per player and cannot be transferred to another wallet under any circumstances. This soul-bound design is a deliberate architectural choice rooted in the need for Sybil resistance. In a game where reputation drives social trust and community governance, the ability to purchase a clean identity on a secondary market would fundamentally undermine the incentive to behave well. By making identity non-transferable, Ludopoly ensures that every standing in the community is a genuine reflection of how a player has behaved over time.

Burning an Account NFT is possible, and a replacement can be minted, but doing so resets all accumulated progress, reputation, and social connections. The permanence of the NFT is therefore a strong incentive to protect it.

Room NFT: Hosting Rights

Room NFTs operate under a dual-identity model, with each token holding both a token identifier and a room identifier. This design allows a room owner to manage the room across different contexts and sessions without ambiguity. The holder of a Room NFT has full authority over the room's settings: whether it is public or private, what the session duration will be, and whether it is offered to other operators for commercial rental.

Room NFTs are transferable, which means a well-established room with a good reputation can be acquired on the secondary market. Room operators who build a history of fair, well-managed sessions create a genuine commercial asset in their Room NFT.

Treasury NFT: The Prize

Treasury NFTs are created only through a successful treasure claim. Their rarity is determined at the moment of minting by a call to a verifiable random function on-chain, which means neither the player nor the protocol has any influence over the outcome. The resulting rarity tier determines the point value of the NFT and the number of bonus WorldFeatureCards the winner receives. Treasury NFTs can be kept as trophies, traded on secondary markets, or held as evidence of game mastery.
